Complete! - January 11, 2019:
We are happy to report the upgrade to EZproxy 6.4.4 is now complete! Access to NC LIVE resources for on site and off site access should be functioning as expected.

Delayed - January 10, 2019 update:
We encountered unexpected technical complications during the upgrade to EZproxy 6.4.4 this morning, January 10. This prevented the upgrade from being completed. Due to the proxy server needing to be offline to complete the upgrade, we have decided to postpone until tomorrow, January 11.
The upgrade will now [hopefully] occur Friday, January 11 from approximately 7:00am to 9:00am and may result in intermittent downtime of up to 25 minutes with users unable to access NC LIVE resources. This may impact all libraries' access to NC LIVE resources.
We apologize for the confusion and inconveniences this has caused. Updates will continue to be sent via email and posted to the Proxy Server Upgrade blog post.

The previously scheduled upgrade to NC LIVE's EZproxy Server to version 6.4.4 will now occur tomorrow morning, Thursday, January 10. There is no action needed by any libraries, though if you notice any issues after the upgrade is complete, please contact help [at] nclive.org (help[at]nclive[dot]org).

January 3, 2019 update:
The planned upgrade to NC LIVE's EZproxy Server did not occur as planned this morning, January 3. We encountered some infrastructure issues that would not allow us to seamlessly transition to the latest version.
We are working to resolve these issues and plan to upgrade the EZproxy Server as soon as possible.
A notice with the new date and time will be sent via email and posted on the NC LIVE blog.

December 20, 2018 message:
NC LIVE is upgrading our EZproxy Server to the latest version, 6.4.4, on the morning of Thursday, January 3.
This upgrade may result in downtime with users unable to access NC LIVE resources from approximately 7:00am to 9:00am on January 3. This will impact all libraries that use NC LIVE Hosted Proxy, NC LIVE password, or library card numbers to access resources.
Libraries that access NC LIVE resources through a local proxy server will not be impacted.
What do you need to do?
There is no action needed by any libraries, though if you notice any issues after the upgrade is complete, please contact help [at] nclive.org (help[at]nclive[dot]org).
