Duke University Press Joins the NC LIVE HomeGrown Collection

Duke University Press and NC LIVE have partnered to add thirty of the Press’s e-books to the NC LIVE HomeGrown Collection, making them freely available to more than 200 libraries across the state with unlimited, simultaneous use: no holds, checkout limits, or waitlists.

Titles include bestsellers such as Living a Feminist Life, Vinyl Freak, Exile and Pride, and Spill, among others.

AutoMate Name Change

AutoMate by EBSCO has been renamed Auto Repair Source. All access pathways remain the same including the recommended database URL: https://www.nclive.org/cgi-bin/nclsm?rsrc=419

Action needed:

Libraries may need to change link and resource wording from AutoMate to Auto Repair Source. No other action is needed.

ProQuest Authentication error - resolved

This issue has been resolved and access to ProQuest resources is functioning as expected.

All ProQuest resources are currently experiecing user authentication issues. NC LIVE is aware of the issue and working with ProQuest to have access restored. Users may recieve "Authentication error" pages or "Error 522 Connection timed out" errors.

495 New Titles Added to HomeGrown

ProQuest database name changes

ProQuest recently renamed two databases which resulted in links to those databases directing to ProQuest Central instead of the individual databases. This has been resolved and the database names updated on NC LIVE's website.

Libraries may need to update database names though no action is needed for NC LIVE links.
