Ebook Central is transitioning to a new ebook app. The previous ebook reader app was Adobe Digital Editions. The new app is called Ebook Central Reader App. 

About the new Ebook Central App

"This new tool prioritizes accessibility and security for your ebook downloads. Users can still browse, read online, and organize their bookshelf in the existing Ebook Central online reader just as before, and now they’ll enjoy a more seamless reading experience for downloaded titles on the go. Twice a year, Infobase removes titles that have been discontinued from Films On Demand / Access Video on Demand subscription collection(s). Titles are discontinued because producers have lost rights to distribute a title or find the material to be out of date. This list shows the titles that will be removed from NC LIVE's Films on Demand collection on or about June 30, 2025 .

Access to ProQuest databases is now restored. If you are still encountering an error, please reach out to the NC LIVE Help Desk.

Access to ProQuest databases is currently unavailable. Libraries may see an error message when trying to access ProQuest resources through their website or the NC LIVE website.

We recently created a new URL for PrepSTEP Academic, allowing libraries to share separate links for PrepSTEP Academic and LearningExpress Library. All libraries continue to have access to both resources.
