NC LIVE has created a collection in WMS for HomeGrown Ebooks: 

NC LIVE HomeGrown Ebooks, customer.54122.6

The collection contains all of the ebooks currently in the collection, including our most recent additions to the collection in 2021. NC LIVE will update it whenever there are new additions to the collection.  

There are several other HomeGrown Collections currently in WMS, but these are not updated or maintained by NC LIVE.

NC LIVE proxies- Potential Downtime- February 4, 7:00-8:00am

On Friday, February 4 from 7:00am-8:00am, NC LIVE will perform OS updates on our servers. This may result in proxy downtime of 5-10 minutes per library for libraries using NC LIVE Hosted Proxy, barcode pattern matching and NC LIVE password. 

We will send out an email when the updates are complete.

Global Humanities Readers- New Links

New versions of the ebooks Global Humanities Readers volumes 1 & 2 have been loaded into the HomeGrown Collection on BiblioBoard. The new ebook versions have improved accessibility features with alt-text descriptions to images throughout the books.

HomeGrown MARC records for 2021 purchase now available

MARC records for NC LIVE's most recent purchase of 214 new HomeGrown ebooks and 3 new HomeGrown audiobooks are now available. These MARC records also include Global Humanities Reader, Vols 1 & 2 from UNC Press.

HomeGrown Ebooks now Accessible via Geolocation

NC LIVE is excited to announce that ebooks in the HomeGrown Ebooks Collection are now accessible via location-based links (geolocation) for all residents in North Carolina. Geolocation allows users in North Carolina IP ranges to immediately access ebook content without needing to sign-in via proxy. This will make accessing HomeGrown content on the BiblioBoard app seamless for patrons in North Carolina.
