MyiLibrary Migrating to Ebook Central March 21, 2018

NC LIVE MyiLibrary titles will be migrating to Ebook Central on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.

As you might remember, in July 2017 ordering for MyiLibrary was disabled and moved to LibCentral. The migration on March 21st completes the MyiLibrary transition to Ebook Central.

The details:

• Once your titles are migrated to Ebook Central, your MyiLibrary account will no longer be active for you or your patrons.

• Your MyiLibrary URL – and URLs contained in your MARC records – will redirect to Ebook Central through 2021.

NC LIVE EZproxy Upgrade- March 9

NC LIVE will be upgrading its EZproxy instances to version 6.3.5 on Friday, March 9th. The upgrade will take place from 9:00am to 3:00pm, and last approximately 10 minutes for each library.

How will the upgrade affect my library's remote access?

If your library uses NC LIVE easy-on (library card barcode) or NC LIVE password: Access to NC LIVE resources will be interrupted for remote users for about 10 minutes between 9am-3pm.

MARC Records Now Available in LibCentral

Last September when we launched Ebook Central, MARC records for the NC LIVE ebook collection were not available in LibCentral (the Admin tool for Ebook Central).

On February 28th, MARC records for the NC LIVE ebook collection will be available in LibCentral (complete with any customizations).

Starting with the 2018-02-28 MARC update, you will be receiving the NC LIVE MARC records in .mrc files that include 'nclive-ebooks' in their names.

Usage Statistics currently unavailable for January 2018

2/23/18- Usage statistics for January are now available.

Usage statistics for January 2018 are currently unavailable on the NC LIVE Usage Statistics Module. When attempting to access these reports, libraries have reported seeing the following error message: "Additional uncaught exception thrown while handling exception."

Usage reports for time periods prior to January 2018 continue to be generated correctly.
